I just got this today, BUT I’ve done apple slices (9 tray dehydrator full) and potato chips. This thing works beautifully! I just rinsed it off when I was finished, and that was all that was needed, so it was an easy cleanup as well. I did try to strip an ear of corn on it. Still, I felt super uneasy about my fingers being so close to the blade, plus level 2 wasn’t quite deep enough to get all the kernel, but level 3 was too deep cutting into the cob, so I wouldn’t buy this mandoline for that use specifically. The video demo I saw them doing corn on looked super easy, but it didn’t work out as perfectly as they made it look. I am 100% happy with this purchase, though, as of now. I know the test of durability will take time, but im quite hopeful. Also, I love the nonskid corners on this unit. It successfully kept it in place while I worked.

I have used this Mandoline on several occasions since it arrived. It is very well made and I’m still in the process of using it efficiently. Making the waffle potato chips is my next goal. I have been disappointed with previous mandolines I’ve tried through the years, but I’m experienced enough to know that this one is a keeper! Keeping it handy under my kitchen counter on the lazy Susan shelf is the easiest accessible place for it. It is very easy to clean & I like the protective hand guard and non-skid feet.

This mandoline has every feature you would want. Variable thickness, a ripple blade, two levels of julienne blades, a guard and a guide. It feels solid, and the design is well done. It works wonders for half the price of a complete professional stainless steel model. But that’s where it falls. The plastic parts – especially the adjustment knobs on the side that let you change depth, blades, etc. are fragile. When they break – and they will – it becomes useless. It will be perfect up until then. This is pricey for something that you know is going to hurt. If you’re serious, then pony up. This one will serve you well…until it doesn’t.
