I love this machine. I use it multiple times a week, and the quality of the slushies it makes is fantastic; the time to freeze is always surprising, and it is very intuitive to know how you need to modify your drink for optimal slush. My only complaint is that the central clear plastic part has some areas on the back that can’t be cleaned because it’s too tight to fit any bristle, but it can get particles in there that seem to fester. I’ll replace this part every 8-12 months to ensure it’s remaining clean and sanitary. Also, I wish the access door was on the front, not the back, for easier filling when underneath a cabinet.

Before you buy many ingredients, you probably already have what you need in your kitchen: milk, cocoa powder, coffee and creamer, sugar or another sugar substitute, vanilla extract, fruit juices, colas, etc. You don’t have to buy every product you see online just to get started (I first thought we did, but you really don’t need much).

It’s not as big as you think, either. Ours is in the corner by the Ninja XL, next to the KitchenAid mixer. It’s tall and skinny but not too tall. The footprint is thinner, taller, and more profound than my mixer’s. It’s an appliance that can stay out on the counter.

I recommend the 88-ounce version over the smaller version for more functions and capacity. If you think about it, 88 ounces isn’t much. That’s a little over 4-20-ounce colas.

It is very, very quick to use. It doesn’t take hours, but less than 30 minutes for everything we’ve thrown at it.

For the Margarita premix, you do have to dilute it a tad for the alcohol volume. Use either water or Sprite. We’ve used both, and either one is fine. It’s not diluted and is still a strong drink.

This helps you decide to get one. We are loving this new addition to the kitchen. It has become as important as an air fryer or can opener. I thought it was just a want, and my husband wasn’t sure, but it made us believers.

We’ll save a lot of money making our milkshakes, margaritas, hydration drinks, and Coke slushies. A $2 2-liter cola vs. a $3 large slushie, and you do the math or a $15 frozen margarita at a restaurant vs. 8 at home for less than $20. A $7 milkshake for less than $1.25 at home.

I bought this for my wife but have used it to make frappes and frozen coffee drinks! It works as you’d expect and is easy to clean.

The center metal piece gets cold and freezes whatever you put in, and the corkscrew moves the slush around and towards the spigot for pouring.

The corkscrew and container for the slushes you make come out. The center metal part is fixed and stays put (you wipe it off, and it’s ready to use again).

You can wash the corkscrew and container part with no problem – it is easy to clean.

It cools things quickly. You can have a frozen drink in a matter of 10 minutes. We already used chilled coffee from the refrigerator for the coffee.

It says DO NOT POUR hot things into the unit, which is obvious, but it does need to be stated that you can’t just pour a hot pot of coffee into the thing and the outcomes slush.

So don’t pour hot things on something that freezes or can break—just like a cold glass poured hot water into it can break the glass. Most people understand this, but some need it explained.

I’d repurchase it in a heartbeat and will use it almost every day this summer. Even though it is cold outside (December 2024), we still use it.

I bought this hoping it would be useful for our family of 7. The idea of having slushies anytime we wanted sounded nice.

However, it takes way too long to make a slushie. On a full container, it took about 30-40 minutes just to get the slushie to what I think a normal slushie is. On top of that, the machine has to continue running as long as there is anything left in the container, or it will just melt and turn back to juice. We were better off just putting some ice and juice in our blender and making slushies that way. It took less time and less to clean up.

Also, it’s much too expensive at its current price point.

It was a return for us.

I bought this almost a month ago and just received it. I let it sit for half a day before using it, and after two hours, the soda got warmer.

Rinsed and unplugged, then waited overnight to try again. Same results.

I looked forward to using this, but Amazon is out of stock and can only issue a return. This is my first let-down from a Ninja brand product. To make it sting a little more, my son had just developed strep throat, and a slushie would have been great for the pain.

Ninja makes a solid product. The bigger one doesn’t fit our needs when hosting. Few drinks from one batch, and I’m making more to mix. They are incredible drinks don’t get me wrong! They will most likely make a bigger machine to grab some more money. If you tend to buy a ninja slushie, make sure you also purchase one or have a waterpick. The design of the clear holder builds up gunk over time, and the only way to get it out good is the pick! Trust me! Look online for ninja slushies and water picks. Anyway, it’s 4 out of 5 in my book for that reason. It is nice to have it make bigger batches. I don’t want to buy 2. The Ninja recipe page is excellent. I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong when making milkshakes; I follow the recipe to the T, and it gets clumpy with maybe the cream idk 🤷‍♂️. I love it, and it goes great with my ninja kitchen. Buy it, and you will be happy you did

My Christmas gift to myself. You don’t have to add ice. It has a hole in the top where you can add your liquid. It mixes as it is freezing. Filling your cup forces the contents forward, so you don’t have to tilt it on the counter to get the rest out. The dispenser empties all but a little (less than 2 ounces remains). I have it in the highest cold setting, so that will not be less effective. But it makes high-frozen tips in the cup. It has a rinse feature so that you can add clean water & empty it into a pitcher. I added Finest Call Premium Strawberry Puree Drink Mix 33.8 Ounces bottle with water. 14” deep x 6 ½” wide x 16 ½“ high
