If you like ice, either in a drink or just to chew, this device is for you! It’s a simple machine that produces a small 3/8″ ice cube that is very consistent in size and softness. The ice is small and soft and presents no threat to your teeth if you like to chew your ice with a drink.
The machine takes about 8 oz. of tap water to produce a container about 4″ x 6″ x 3″ of great ice. The tranquil machine takes about six minutes to start making a small tub of ice and another 15 minutes to run about six pieces at a time as they automatically drop into the tub. Then, take the container out of the machine and scoop (provided) some soft, delicious ice into a container or glass.
Cleaning the device is pretty simple. Add a teaspoon of vinegar to about 8 ounces of water you usually pour into the machine for a batch of ice. Then, push the button and hold it in for a few seconds. The device makes a tainted container of ice that you dispose of. It takes about 15 minutes, all automatic. After that, put the machine over the sink and pull the drain plug while running water to flush it out. It clears calcium buildup and any other debris from the machine. You need to do this weekly if you make a lot of ice. An easy job that cleans and does not leave any taste of vinegar.

I was growing tired of not having enough ice in our house. We are not filling large coolers and didn’t want to install a waterline and walk to the garage whenever I needed ice. We have multiple kids playing sports, and my wife and I keep larger water bottles for hydration during the day. We needed more ice, but not a commercial ice maker. I was looking for a machine that would fit under the cabinet on the counter garage and didn’t want to spend $500 plus for the extra ice. I wanted as much capacity and production capacity as possible in a small space. I also love small nuggets of ice that I get at some restaurants, and I get larger cubes of ice from my fridge. The machine runs a lot in our house during the day because we all prefer this chewable small ice cube over the larger cubes.
The machine makes noise because it has a compressor to cool the water. I like that I can hear it to know when it needs more water or when I need to empty the ice tray. It has a low hum when it is running.
If you keep it full of water and offload the ice, this thing can produce a lot of extra ice. It fills up surprisingly quickly. When we are home, we run it all day. Cleaning is effortless, and doing so keeps the ice flowing. We have sported it every weekend; we always have ice for our small coolers. This crushed Ice is great because it fills small cracks and gives you maximum surface area for what you are trying to cool down.

Tips/Notes
– Don’t bother buying the fancy Amazon cleaning solutions. Run the clean cycle with vinegar and drain, then run the clean cycle with water to flush, drain, and return to making ice.
– As with every ice maker, it will think it is complete before it is truly complete. You can either transfer it at that point or move it from the middle and allow it to be packed up.
– The ice bin is slightly insulated, but not a freezer. The ice will eventually melt back into the water tank below and keep re-making the same ice. Try not to burn up electricity and the machine by trying to run it 24/7.
– We run it while home and transfer the excess to the freezer. Then turn it off when we leave.
– Since the ice is not made and stored in a freezer, it is not hard frozen. So, you cannot just dump it into your ice tray in the freezer because it will clump. I fill a gallon bag and then move it to my ice tray once it is hard-frozen. Steady flow of ice now

I owned a GE Profile nugget maker, 2 Gevi nugget makers, and now this Euhomy. GE and Gevi both used UV-C lights to kill stuff from growing in the reservoirs. Anyone with knowledge of UV-C lights knows the last 12 months at best before effectiveness is gone and needs to be replaced. Countertop ice makers: The issue is that they don’t make these replaceable, so after 12 months, you get black stuff in your ice even if you regularly clean it with bleach or vinegar. I like this Euhomy because its guts are simple and accessible to clean every week without much trouble relative to the products above. The ice bin is small and needs to be filled with water at least daily; ice is good. It is a reasonable sound level for an ice maker, at or below the GE or Gevi. The drain plug is easily accessible and lightweight, so cleaning it to the sink is easy. As clearly outlined in the manual, regular bleach and vinegar cleaning will perform better with less mold in the machine than the previous two. It is my 4th machine in 5 years, so I want to spend money on ice. My SAMSUNG fridge is the culprit; It sucks as the ice maker is known to freeze up. Who thought putting an ice maker in the fridge section would work?

At first, I didn’t know what to think about the ice maker until I started using it more. Place only good water inside the machine up to the MAX line, not tap or distilled water. Press the power button and choose Small or Large ice nuggets. The machine is very slow to make ice, so I chose large ice nuggets to fill the basket quickly. When the basket is full, I put the ice in an ice container and place it in the fridge. Most people don’t know that ice from refrigerators and ice trays uses tap water, which is very unhealthy and tastes bad! I turned off my refrigerator’s ice maker and used this device. It makes a ton of ice ON DEMAND! Recommend a metal scooper (not placed in the freezer) to get ice out for my cold drinks. The Nugget ice easily crumbles and is fun to chew. *USE ONLY HIGHLY FILTERED WATER FOR BEST TASTING ICE–DO NOT USE TAP OR DISTILLED WATER*

I want to personally send a thank you across Amazon to this seller because their customer service is out of this world. I originally bought two of these machines because we are moving to the island of Jamaica. It’s hot there, and the homes sometimes don’t accommodate large refrigerators. I do have plenty of countertop space. I bought these to replace an igloo that failed out of the box but could not be returned because of timing issues.
I opened one of these, and it would not make ice. I contacted the manufacturer, and they immediately offered me a replacement. I should have discarded the first one; apparently, it was low on refrigerant.
When I returned to the States, they sent me my replacement. Out of the box, it had a bad crease in the side and made a terrible noise. It works, but it was obviously damaged or passed quality control, and nobody noticed.
I contacted them with this video, and they did not hesitate to send me another one or refund me. Usually, I would have taken the refund, but the first unit that we purchased from them worked so quietly and so well that I wanted another one of these machines.
It took some time, but this company allowed me to have two perfect units. Most importantly, their customer service is out of this world.
